[1] - Her father, who was a veteran of the Vietnam War, passed away due to chronic illness in 2015.

- The Korean surname 'Kan/Gan' is a more rare surname in Korea.

- She was originally Atheist, but since converted to marry her born-again Protestant Spouse, Hwang Paul.

[2] - Although she didn't start participating in recording till the 2nd Baby V.O.X Album, Miyoun was eased into the group during 1st album promotions to make the transition easier.

- Miyoun Declared going solo in 2006 and debuted as a soloist with her first regular album called 'Refreshing' (At first she mostly promoted in China where Baby V.O.X had gained a following but focused on her korean audience mainly from 2009-2011 to current years.)

- Her favorite color is pink.

- Mosquitos are attracted to her blood, giving her the nickname 'MogiBap' (Mosquito food) along with her other nickname 'Smurf' due to her chubby cheeks.

- Things she likes about herself: Long Eyelashes.

- Things she dislikes about herself: She had such a complex about her cheek fat that she would use the bangs of her hime cut to cover her cheeks.

She wrote 'Last gift', a song on Baby V.O.X'S fifth album 'Boyish Story'. Other members also participated in the making of songs on the album.

- Before the college entrance exams, she was asked practice questions by reporters who had conducted an interview at her house. this went viral at the time, only because she spelt “rose” as “lose”.
